http://www.b-quiet.com They have lots of sound deadening materials at good prices. You can get enough to do 2 cars for like $55

yea man, sound deadening is the way to go, but i suggest avvoiding the spray stuff, it cracks and starts to smelll from what i hear
but yea, dynamat, brownbread, b-quiet, you should be able to get them at most audio stores, count on teh smaller stores to carry the cheaper stuff, its all dynamat products, but just different, hence less popular names on it.
and when you ask for sound deadening, make sure you specify what you want, cuz if you just ask for it in general, theyre probably going to say dynamat, and not say what kind (brownbread, etc...) just to let yourself know what youre dealing with
i dont think its necessary to sound-proof your roof, the doors and floor and trunk panels should be fine, and if youre lookin to go hardcore, you get look for some for under the hood, but i think its different stuff from dynamat
hope this helps. good luck

get under the rear seat of your honda(?) and apply it there. it's really easy to remove the rear seat on my 93 civic. just one bolt right behind the center seatbelt, and two hooks that keep the front of the rearseat cushion into the frame. it's the easiest one to do without removing the carpet. when i took mine off...the stuff under their was sticky. honda kinda put some noise dampening on there, but not much. here, i would use the sticky stuff you paint on, or the one-sided application where the other side is sticky.
the doors would go next. i'd apply the sound dampening that needs a heat gun to be applied. everything else would be tough unless your front seats and your carpet were removed.

since u cant order stuff try going to a hardware store and check out what they have in the roofing section and they might have peel and seal or somthing similar. use that everywhere you can. and then put a layer or 2 of carpet padding under the carpet.

im gonna go to the roofing place itself
and im also gonna check some air conditioning places too...
carpet padding? can i ask for this by this name?
There you go. Use your imagination, after all most of it is the same stuff anyhow. Carpet underpad would make a huge difference in road noise. I saw a sample of roofing material recently that was exactly like Dyanamat extreme or brownbread. I bet the cost of materials is cheap. After all they make roads out of the same stuff almost and look how much they use.
if you dont like road noise, then no matter what....dont get yokohama tires. thats my advice.
they make a yokohama AVS DB which is made to lower sound levels caused by the tires... and i would get dynamat.,.. i did it in my prelude and i noticed an improvement
Lexus advertised years ago about using ashphalt materials to reduce noise, guess what? It was just like Dynamat. Lexus had a hollow firewall filled with sand on some cars. A couple of stereo installers found out when drilling through it. haha.
Jimmy smoke crack, and I don't care.

well, the avs100 tire from yokohama isnt as loud as the others. im running advan a032r's on my hatch and A520's on my coupe. they both sound almost like swampers. haha....id recommend the toyo proxes, or the falken zeix.
cool, i dont mind removing the seats and carpet so ima go all out, you think thin strips of foam under the carpet would help?
when i was working on this one car, the trunk lid had styrofoam under it. i was thinking, "yeah i can see why they did that." but then, on the surface of the foam, they had a long sheet of aluminum foil covering it. maybe they know something i don't!
oh yeah, although they ain't the highest performance tires, i got the old yokohama s306's on 3 tires, and the replacement for it, one yokohama yk420. there's road noise, but not that much, for me at least. i just turn up the bass and it's gone. i think with aftermarket wheels, there's almost always gonna be more road noise cuz the sidewall is thinner, and the contact patch is bigger. go 15's! hehe

That's funny, I found my Yok AVS ES 100's to be pretty damn quiet...I've heard louder that's for sure!!
