Default obd sensor after straight pipe?

i have an '01 gsr and i want to straight pipe it...i am told that the check engine light is going to come on due to the obd sensor, what can i do about it...i heard something about connecting it to the ecu...anyway, can someone enlighten me...thanks.

just convert to OBD1. That's what i did, and you'll feel a nice little gain.

all you need is an OBD1 ECU and a conversion harness. There was a groupbuy for the harnesses a little while ago by Blown90hatcH for like $125. and the ECUs can be had for around 100, maybe more. unless you find a real good deal like i did, I got an AEM fuel rail, and OBD1 ECU for $80
