Default clutch trouble

new act pp and disc. new cable as of yesterday(old one kicked the bucket ) i got it all adjusted and it was fine. today i go toback into my driveway and the clutch grabed 1" at most off the floor. by the time i got it up the driveway the car wouldnt come out of gear and wouldnt roll down as the clutch was dragging. so i dajusted it and drive it around and had to adjust it again. is this just the cable stretching a bit or is there something wrong? i dont have much left to adjust as the adjuster is just about all the way to the end. at this rate i may have to make spacers for the cable/fork area.

It's something with the cable, seeing as it was installed yesterday and now you have problems. Check the cable, all of it's mount points, etc etc. all the way through.

all the mounting points look good. im thinkin maybe it stretched a bit or something. but i think its odd to have the adjuster cranked just about all the way to get the clutch to work correctly. but im more worried about thias constant adjusting.

Sounds just like the **** I went through with my ACT setup. First of all, clutch pedal was WAY stiff. The press plate/clutch was way to stiff for the streets.
Car stopped going into gear after a while so I figured it was a stretched cable, replace cable, still wont go into gear. Think its bent throw-out bearing fork. Replace throw-out bearing fork and throw out bearing. Works fine for a week. Press clutch pedal in one day and the clutch cable snaps, and the clutch pedal practically snaps off. New clutch pedal bracket: $80, install was a HUGE pain in the ***. Install ANOTHER clutch cable, and it works fine for a while. Now I'm at the point of replacing the clutch because its broken so many things, and its way too much for a street car. I had my cable tighten ALL the way down for the first few weeks of driving. I've spent way too much money because of the clutch I'm using. So I just got a new setup. My post is probally no help, but I just figured I'd share my experinces.

yea, i broke a pedal assebbly too. although, once i put in the new cable the pedal effort is alot easier. it does feel like its gettin worse tho, but that may be be buggin out. im with ya that the pp is too much for a street car. im only using it cause my stock one was tossed and this one was cheap. thatx for the info tho. at least i knw im not the only one having these troubles.
