Default Opinions on Kosei K-1's vs. TDR ProRace 15x7 wheels

I'm looking for a set of 15x7 wheels to wrap my Azenis 205/50/15's around. This is for a STS Integra DB8. I'm stuck between these two wheels. Both are about the same price ~125 per wheel. Both weigh ~13lbs. Both are 15x7 and I believe both are also cast not forged.
The Kosei K-1 has a 38mm offset
The TDR has 40mm offset.

Anyone have experience with either wheel that could help me make my decision? I know the Kosei's are Auto'Xed a lot , not sure about the TDR's.

For pics, info about the TDR see

I used the TDRs for autox and track days most of last year, and liked them fine. No bends, dents, or cracks despite a few bumpy off-courses and a good bit of gaiter pounding. I'll be using them on my ECHC car this year. I know a lot of Spec Miata folks use them. Not that it matters, but I also think they look better than the K1s.

Somewhat related... Had anyone tried putting TDR's over big brakes? Something like the fastbrakes 11.75 kit?

I found the TDR's for $115 here in CA, (IM me if you want to know the place) I would have to pay sales tax versus $129 for the K-1s from TireRack (out of state), no CA sales tax, but I would have to pay shipping so they are pretty close in price for me.

w00t! Let's hear it for another DB8 autocrosser. There's a few of us around here, but not many at all.

FWIW, I'm currently using a set of *borrowed* SSR Type Xs w/ a +42 offset. Believe it or not, these work just fine, barely fitting over the front brake calipers and only a little tire rub on the trailing arm in back. The two wheels you're looking at sound molto comparable, so I'd go with the one that looks best to you. If it were me, I'd get the K1s.

I payed $119 +shipping from http://www.edgeracing.com in FLA. You can get them in black only. For the anthracite finish, you have to special order and takes about 4 weeks. I only did 2 HPDEs and have no complaints. The TDRs are heat treated for strength, not sure about the Kosei. Nice finish, and I also think they look better than the Kosei K1.

Just to let you guys know, I received an email from the VP of TDR USA telling me that the Pro Racing 2 series will be arriving at the end of March. The 15x7 will weigh in at about 13.2 lbs, retail at about $130, be available in +30, +35, and +40, and will be available in white, anthracite grey and flat black. If you want more info from them, call 888-384-7779.

I really like the look of these better than the other two options being discussed and are all about the same weight and price. my .02

Pro Race 2. Yeah, I think its fugly also but we will be racing on them this year. Also the weight that we got on the pro race 2 is 12.5. the pro 1 is 13.2. This info is direct from TDM they are one of our sponsors. If anyone would like to order TDM wheels and you are local I can probably save you the shipping. I currently am getting PR2's at $125 ea. Our 1st set is due in 3/10/03. Good luck to everyone this year.
