Default Smc+

i have a d15b7 stock(92-95 civic), just installed turbo, 450dsm injectors w/10w 10ohm res. inline. wired up the smc+ and it idles smooth, but when i give it gas, it floods out and almost dies. it is set at -59 @ evry rpm, plugs are black and a/f led is in the green. what could my problem be? i'm so frustrated.

the smc+ is wired right and the green light blinks when car is running.

I'm no expert, but maybe your fuel pressure is to high - I read that someone had a problem not being able to cut enough fuel with the smc and lowering the fuel presure fixed it - just a thought. Btw, what other, if any, fuel mods do you have?

just remember, don't lean it too much! that will cause a problem also! remember u are taking OUT 59% of your fuel. leaving you around 180cc, which is 60 smaller than stock. so u need MORE fuel.

mike

any problems, just pm me start with -35 across the board

super rich by what? the autometer? just by stepping on the gas?

dont do tuning with the autometer, very innacurate, forget you have it when u are using ur SMC

If your sure that your really rich, it makes sense to me to lower your fuel pressure, just don't cut as much with the smc afterwards, try to get the fuel pressure at a point where you can actually use the smc to fine tune things.

well i will try the b&m fpr and lower the presure but it should run on my stock fpr. Whats the freakin deal is it my car or the smc+, I wish i understood more about how the smc accually works, and my car.

if it doesn't stutter much, i would rather be rich, than run lean and blow it

i'm not sure what to think about the smc cause i had to lower my fuel pressure to like 21psi to allow my car to be drivable with the dsm injecters and it is still to rich and my car bogs down. , and i also got a code 43 later on cause my dumb fp is too low. what is the deal here? the smc seems to be working cause its blinking. Maybe i need to just tweak it more to see if it will run better. It should run with the stock fuel pressures!

Could the dsm injectors be messing up. but i got them off my bro. t-eclipse and one or two had cracked plastic end peices, but i plan on replacing w/ new caps and i did not think that it would cause my car to run this bad, they ran fine on his eclipse.

setting for smc+: idle:30, 1-8:40

Mikeman: it does'nt bother me to run rich i'm not a FOOL but my car would not GOOOOOOO when i depressed the pedal, it would bogg out rich and Die or in other words my car had to be pushed if i wanted it to move a foot. Do you understand? today i turned down fuel pressure and it moved down the road fairly but would still bogg down rich and poop black dump all over my cockplugs when i tried to gas it.

If anyone can help me solve this problem or know anyone in OKLAHOMA CITY that knows fart about anything just let me know. Thanks yall

im going to try to fix the injecters tommorrow(plastic ends by the sprayers) and see if it mixes the fuel better with the air. How long did it take for you to get your car running right, and why did i throw a code 3 @ only 4lbs boost? My car idles fine, its what happens after idle.

I can only post 5 times per 24hr period.bullcrap!! I was under the name gcajnr21 and i forgot my password i guess, and my e-mail has changed so they wont send my password to my new address, I AM A Member here 100%, but the ****** who run this joint can't seem to fine the grace to help somebody out I have e-mailed then like 4 times know in the last month and still no response. now i'm a honda-tech Kid with a bed time and can't even wash my own crack or reply to my own post. Oh-well

to be honest, my idle was perfect out of the box as soon as I hooked up the SMC. I would check your resistors on ur injectors.

my resistors are freshly sodered in line w/each injector y/b wires + 4 10w/10ohm from rshack. I soder all my connections and put shrink wrap around them, I like to do thinks the right way.

maybe i should just take a sledge hammer and sledge my whole car and the smc+ and my motor and my face, maybe it would turn out perfect and i could stick my fat Log in the exhaust pipe and start my car and boost my brain off.

Yes. They probably arent flowing right and having the crack on the caps is probably not helping much. Also make sure that your map signal is correct and that all GROUND wires are properly grounded.

probably has nothing to do with the injectors, the pintle caps are simply there for protection. as long as your removed the whole cap, im sure ur okay. (one of mine had a cracked cap, so I just broke it off)

I figured it out!!!! i had it wired wrong, I'm a freakin ***** face who needs to have my anus air-chiseld. make sure you dont let your brain wire stuff up wrong GET PLENTY OF SLEEP BEFORE INSTALL(that should be in the instructions 1st step)

Well my car is pullin great and runnin so so smooth just needs to be dynoed for a perfect tune for that days barometric reading.

Now have stock fp and dsm 450's set in the -30's range. AWESOME!!!!!

FMU's suck SMC+
