Intro/Pic of last years ride.
Hello, my name is Sam . . . and I am . . . a newbie! There, I've taken the 1st step to recovery,lol.
I stumbled onto this sight the other day and I'm glad I did! This board looks awesome. The past 2 years I was playing around with my 5th gen hb but due to financial probs, I had to sell it and recently start over with a 4th gen hb.
Here is a pic of the 92 . . . the only pic!
The 4th gen hb will look ALOT better. I'll post it up when it's ready!
Be sure to throw some comments at me . . . no matter how good/bad they are, lol.
Btw, here are a few other sights I'm a mamber of: Be sure to check em out!

if it were me... (yes I was there before) I'd sell the fenders and front bumper cover and get some motor work going...Power before appearance. I'm not too sure I like the air filter/pseudo intercooler intake. Seems like a bad place for one.

Welcome to HT and good luck with your 4th gen project
I love 5th gens myself and it sucks you had to sell yours....but maybe that was a good thing

For your own sanity, avoid buying stuff this time like the front mount air intake, its a POS. And for your fun read up on all the performance modifications you can perform on your car, you'll probably end up happier in the end with a faster car, instead of a kitted one.
Welcome.

Hey welcome to another NY'er !
Yes you are lucky you sold that hatch, yuck! But there are many ways to sweeten up a 4th gen hatch, so get ready for mod fever! Maybe I'll see you at some CNY SCCA autocrosses this year?! If you can make it to any of the FLR-SCCA autocrosses, you could shoot the **** with me and a few friends plus our region has 200+ cars at one autocross! No pressure to drive too, you can catch a ride with any instructors too, they are all very nice / cool.

Wow! Guys? . . Girls? . . I'm overwhelmed! Thanks for all the feedback about the car and THANKS for the welcoming! I've never seen this many great replies to a thread, especialy one posted by a newb!, lol.
I definately know were I'm going with the 4th gen! Performance all the way. The car handles like a dream. I just had my mechanic bend me a full stainless steel exhaust and threw a high flow muffler on to boot.
I installed my short throw shifter on yesterday and love it! I just got my cai in the mail today! Don't worry! Nothing "ricey", lol. It's an aem knock-off. (designed to their specs) I can't wait to get it on.

A friend of mine moved back here from Florida. He has been in several magazines for his paintwork. He learned at the House of Color's facilities so he's got a head up on everyone else. He wants to get his name out there now so he's going to be doing a one off custom paintjob on the hb. If you have any ideas for me . . . PLEASE . . . let me hear them! I'm all ears!
Other than that, I'm working on the car as a whole. Inside and out!
I'll keep everyone informed of my progress.
Thanks again!!!!

ive always been a fan of a paint job in 2 colors, basically that looks like the paint is ripping into another color.....oh yea and welcome Where exactly is Courtland Ny by the way?
NeVeR bLoWn <--- I'm a fan of the "ripping" style too. We're thinking of re-producing a paintjob seen on a hot rod on this months cover of a mag were the paint is literally tearing off the body and "rolling" back onto the rest of the body leaving a "bare" metal look! (hopefully you follow me) It looks awesome!
As far as Cortland: I'm right inbetween Syracuse NY and Ithaca NY! All 3 of us have a well known college. (SU, Cornell, and Cortland State) - Hopefully that helps!
