besides the Si on the back.
As far as identifying it. taillight color, seat color/stitching, engine code, chassis code, redline, etc...
any pictures?
I'm looking at getting one, and I've never paid much attention to 6th gens.

Rear wiper, side moldings, d16z6, 7200rpm redline, clock on console, sunroof, intermitten wiper, steering column height adjustment. If it has all those things it is an Si. Oh and it it's black from the factory, it's an Si.
14inch steelies with hubcaps, side mouldings, painted mirrors and door handles, sunroof, if it still has a stock Honda muffler it has a short tip with a nice finisher on it. I think that's about it.
edit: I didn't realize he wanted all the small details about interior and stuff too...
on me

The only other things I want to know is, does it have power steering (standard).. i know where the pump is, but i haven't seen the car yet. and does it have nicer seats? I know it doesnt have recaro's, but are they different from the ex?

The reason I'm asking is cause the car is 66 miles away, and i'm deciding if i like it enough to go see it. It is a 93 Si with 113,000 miles for 2900$, and im gonna try talk them down to 2700 after taxes and everything else. 152.00 in tax and maybe a 400 dollar fee for whatever.
i think ill be able to talk em down 500$

Same seats. Yes, power steering is standard.
btw- some models (the 92 and 93 i believe didnt have painted mirrors)

On 1992-1993 Si hatches the bolsters usually turn blue/green and the inserts are a grey with white dotted lines. I've owned two personally and both were like that, and every other one I've seen had the faded bolsters as well.
The 1994-1995 Si has rainbow inserts and the same nicer bolster material found on the 1994-1995 EX coupe.
A few other tidbits (sorry if it's been covered)
Si has cruise control, power mirrors, A/C was NOT standard, nor was a radio on 1992-1993 models, but most have these items.
Colors are:
Milano Red - all years
Frost White - I think 1994-1995 only
Granada Black - all years
Flint Black - very rare = probably early 1992 models
Paradise Blue/Green pearl - darker teal
Tahitan Green Pearl - lighter teal
Aztec Green Pearl - lighter teal
Captiva Blue Pearl - lighter blue sort of like 99-00 Si electron blue w/o purple flake
Si has rear discs, and some 1994-1995 models had ABS standard.
1994-1995 Si has bigger front rotrs than 1992-1993 Si hatch.
1994-1995 Civics added dual airbags.
I'll be back later for more - lunch time right now at work y0!
1992 did not have paint-matched mirrors for sure.

thank you
i called and the Si does have some rust, and im not worried about painted trim (its black)
the other 2 are: a 95 ex coupe with ?? miles and ?? rust
another ?? hatchback with 133,000 miles, new clutch, radiator, head gasket, for 3000 if its a dx ill definitly talk em down.
rust and chipped/scratched paint is a big concern. i dont want to put any body work into this car.. besides what i can do... front and maybe rear CF lip.
hope its all good though

I could have swore that all Si's 92+ had DOHC's.. that sucks that im still gonna be stuck with a single cam.. maybe I'll go with the ex. rip out the seats and motor. I'm just afraid that the Si for 3000 will be gone in no time at all.
all i know is i dont want to regret buying this car.

I'm asking because you *might* be better off looking for the mostbasic hatch out there for the cheapest price with the understanding that you're swapping in a motor.
If you aren't swapping soon and want something pretty quick, the the only choices will be the 1992-1995 Si and DX hatch only. The VX and CX are crippled with the slowest engine/tranny combos known to the 1992-1995 Civivc world, and honestly you might not be safe pulling out into traffic or merging with those 70hp (CX) and 92hp (VX) engines and long-*** geared trannies.
The DX and Si probably run pretty close seeing as how the Si has the 125hp SOHC VTEC D16Z6 motor and the DX is lighter but has the 102hp D15B7 (that's right, right?) 1.5L non-VTEC motor. The DX has taller gears and a 4.06 FD while the Si has the closer gears and 4.25 final drive to it's advantage to.
I had a 1992 Si with a B18C1 then B18C5 swap and I currently own a 1992 Si hatch with B16A2 swap and a 1992 CX with a B18C5 swap. For al-out quickness the base trim hatches own due to their lower weight - power to weight ratio owns. The Si has it perks too, like the cruise, A/C (was stripped then put back in), moonroof, P/S, and a few other doo-dads.
It's your choice, but I'm just trying to help you from my own personal experiences. Here's a thread I posted a long time ago about every last difference between the various CX, VX, DX, and Si hatches and their weight differences broken down:

Enjoy - some good info in that topic!
MOONROOF NOT SUNROOF!

If you want some comfort features and don't mind the extra weight, then go for the Si. Weight wasn't my biggest issue when I bought my Si and I am very happy I bought it, I just love my sunroof
It also helps to have a tach when racing

13 people with full interior if I'm not mistaken. The rear hatch cover was out, but hey! that's an option (kinda)
Flint Black - very rare = probably early 1992 models
