Im debating on buying this. he wants to sell it because he decided not to use it, instead hes goign to use his h22a. I don't know the past of this engine, but he has some documentation. The bad thing is that the documentation also shows the engine has had a valve change from a bent valve, which was probably caused by redlining, which would be from abuse. Should I consider this motor? Would anyone else like this motor? (I'd charge you a finders fee of 200 bucks ).

 

obd 1 or 2 and what car is it going in?

 

bent valves can be a result of a couple of other things and not necessarily from abuse...jumped timing belt tooth or broken timing belt can cause same result. Extent of damage varies but once its fixed, motor should run like in original state, maybe even better. 1500 is a reallly good deal still though im sure. But im with you, I like the b20 and ls motors, cheap and torqy.
