Default Kicker 6X9 Subwoofer

I just bought a Kicker 6X9 subwoofer to fit in place of the stock subwoofer in the 4th gen prelude. I was wondering if anyone here has or previuosly had this sub, and what amp was used. I am trying to find the best amp, and I figured if anyone else has the sub they might be able to give a few good suggestions. Its a 150W max 4 ohm subwoofer. Thanks!

I actually got it off Ebay, a pair of them. He made me sell it to him at my cost, instead of me being able to make some money off it selling it to someone else. These things fetch a good value to 4th gen'ers

Believe it or not, I had one in my prelude when the stocker blowed up Check out http://www.crutchfield.com , that is where I got mine from.. Works ok w/ stock amp, but would sound much better w/ upgraded stereo and small aftermarket amp..

The 4th gen VTEC has a 6x9 speaker in-between the rear seats that acts more or less as a sub or midrange speaker. The kicker 6x9 sub has been discontinued. I bought mine because I'm sick of having my trunk occupied by a sub box. My Image Dynamics IDQ 12'' sub and box with JBL 300 watt RMS sub amp is up for sale now. It sounds VERY good, but I'm hoping this 6x9 will sound good enough and I'll benefit from no sub in trunk.

i'm interested in seeing this 6x9 though so toss a link. To answer your question though- i'd imagine a small single channel amp would be good for it.

you don't really need anything strong to push a 6X9... just get something a little stronger than your stock amp. as far as brands, i have no clue... i haven't really looked at any of that stuff in years... i'm cool with OEM for now.

I replaced my 5-1/2's with pioneer 6x9 300watt max speakers in the rear. Sounds wayyyyyy better.
