Is my car stronger than normal?
sorry to post here, but since im a trial user, i cant post in the kills section. is it normal for a completely stock 94 SI 5speed to be able to beat a v6 5 speed 95 camaro, and an 01 v6 auto mustang in a drag race? i have done both twice, and ive heard that a 94 SI shouldnt be able to do that. if you could give me numbers (hp, torque) for those cars as well, that would be cool.
well v6 5speed camaro's do about 15 flat 14.9 stock
v6 auto mustangs are a lil slow than camaro's(i think)
Your Si should do about 15.6-16.1, i think it really depends on the driver

Both the auto & 5 spd have 193 hp & 225 lb-ft tq (Ford quoted crank #'s, mind you). The V6 auto Mustang is slow as ****. Saw a 5 speed V6 at the track last summer run a 15.4, so the auto should be that much slower. The Stang thing ain't that unusual dude.
Not really sure about the Camaro, somebody will know though.
As far as the Stang is concerned, you don't have a supercar dude, you were racing a slow-*** auto Stang, or a 5 spd with a shitty driver.
Beat a GT or SS and I'll draw the ******* red 'S' on your hood myself.

i really wouldn't say your car is all that strong, now mine on the other hand, stock engine and tranny, putting the hurt down on an s2000, and a 2001 mustang v6 with basanni x pipe and exhaust, and a 100shot, and that is a strong runner. my advice, learn your car before you race it (if you haven't allready) it took me a week or two to learn to race it, and be able to shift like lighning, and i've picked up quite a bit of speed, and did i mention my motor has 232k miles on it
, can i have a red s on my hood yet?

Dude you drive a Stock Si, you would break even running a civic Si..

Prove it (show me a dyno where you're putting down 215+hp/timeslip where you're running 14.1) and I'll not only paint the red 'S' on your hood, I'll do it with my sack.

Um, no, I'm sorry. Civic Si's are slow as ****. I've raced at least 10, and I've only been beaten once, ONCE! And guess what, I don't drive an Si, I have an S.
Just my $.02
My '87 Lude SI, (modified...) stomps on si civics all day long....I am not sure if it is the ricer kids that can't drive or it's my driving, or my car just pulls some **** out of no where when I am racing it, but I know that civics aren't ****.....Stock anyway....Not to mention, most of the civics that you see are total rice with their oversized wheels and exhausts and intakes, nothing else......As far as an S2K goes on the other hand, I have a hard time swollowing that one....That would be like sitting here saying yeah, I beat my buddy's Nissan 240sx/180SX conversion car....By the end of summer, maybe, but not without a boost and a shot.

Oh yeah, and I resent ANYONE comparing a lude to a civic, one is a sports car, one is a grocery getter....

Hundai's make me laugh too.....But on the other hand, did you see last month's import tuner?? Granted, it's an Apexi car, but still, that Tibi was sick...
MugenPoweredLude, you live near me, well I go to college right where you live Wilkes University. I probably never seen your lude considering everything around my college is all riced out.

(Prelude Style)Um, no, I'm sorry. Civic Si's are slow as ****. I've raced at least 10, and I've only been beaten once, ONCE! And guess what, I don't drive an Si, I have an S... a whole 135hp with an Intake and Exhuast. Civic's can kiss it, cause they suck stock.
I have a 91 Si with bolt-ons, stock is 140 hp and I can't beat a Civic Si. At the track this past year I ran 1 16.3 and the SI civic ran a 16.0. My response would be no your car is not stronger than normal. Just my .02.

I beat on S2000s....do i get an S?...of course my car is a 4th gen JDM vtec..but still...no power adders, just bolt ons, and a stock drivetrain and internals...oh i also am capable of beat new GTs and have beaten an Auto SS Camaro from a 70mph roll.......but again who cares?..and as for the civic Sis? ha..ive seen one quick one, and it ran 15.5...
Join your buddie in the closet. 99/00 civic Si is good for mid to high 15's. You disillusioned fool, you drive a mid 16 second modded S.. And as for "Civics suck stock, they can kiss my ***" You are basically driveing a 2900 pound, civic powered Prelude.. SO, UM YES !!
my old manager had a nice Si. That sucker was bare though, but still only had bolt ons. It was pretty quick. Oh, and you can't rip on the Si too much, remember, it has the little 1.6 that has the potential to make 1000 hp well before our 2.2's could
Saying that no one knows how to drive a CIvic Si should reflect on the driver, not the car. I used to have a 2000 Civic Si. Stock it was faster than a 4th gen Prelude Si, and almost as quick as a 4th gen Prelude VTEC. Believe me, I have friends with those cars and have driven them.
Stop trying to be all high and mighty with your prelude S, it is not that special of a car.
