what should i do?? new block or new swap??
OK as in my recent threads, my piston took a beaten. I detonated and fried it. So i bought a block (b18b) assembled with Je 12.5-1 and eagle rods for 7 bills. I swaped the head and tranny from my old swap. Ok, 1 of the head studs was stripped. i noticed this when i tighted up the studs to the block and that there was alot of play. Noticing this, i torque all the studs to 65 and that one to 62 but it jus wouldnt torque(would just keep turning) i left it alone and everyone said it was going to lead to a problem.
the motor felt powerful. No more detonation until today, it started over heating.(2 days worth of fun) Mechanic called it quits on block since he said "knew" it was the stud. WTF do i do know.. i can return the block with rods and pistons and lose on a deal or get a new block and swap parts... or should i jus get a new swap alltogether like a b16.. i need ur help or info... OR ANYONE THAT KNOWS SUM1 SELLING A CHEAP B18b.... (tried classifieds already)

i wish i could... but everyones saying its a waste of time... the only way ill do it if u have 1st hands experience on it and u have positive results from rethreading...
yeah i guess thats right cause 70 ft/lbs is kinda alot for a rethreaded hole.....hmmm maybe someone else has done this...we shall wait and find out.
i heard of rethreading but no to sure on it... its kinda ify rite... But there is one solution... a friend of mione had said something about ARP making oversize head bolts... anyone with this experience....
