Default Sending a Block To be sleeved by Benson..

Ok, Selling my setup in a few weeks... its the 81.5mm stock sleeved b18 block, rods and pistons... and a b16 head...

Now im lookin for a new setup..
I have thought about the option of sending a block away to benson to get sleeved and assembled.... their 3050$ option with the eagle rods.

Just wondering if it would be fine to send a block that i have kickin around... its a b18b with a good crank... but i was told the cylinder walls are fucked and WAY out of round... basically cannot be bored at all... So, this would be a perfect block to send im thinking... anyone tell me otherwise?

should i hold out and try and find a GSR block with a solid girdle? or would this b18b be fine to send to Earl?

Anyone with any opinion in the matter would help...

thanks..

also, anyone that has shipped from canada, what method did you use, and whats the price rangE?

eagles are cheap...unless your building a HIGH horsepower motor or all motor, they will work just fine. I rock them at around 400whp, daily driven.

This block would be perfec to sleeve.

I have a GSR girdle laying around if you want to buy it. No hardware, just the girlde itself.

Dont let people talk **** about eagles, plenty of people have made great power on them and will continue to, 99% of the bullshit you hear about eagles is due to user's(builders) own mistakes or what people have heard, but yet 95% of them havent expierenced anything wrong with their products personally.

And as for you question i think both would work...a little more effort would go into doing the conversion but it looks like it was already done so honestly either way would work well. From the point your at right now i would just send out the b18 you have and stick with the LSV-T

PM or call Earl. I think he has a few cores (blocks & cranks) if you want the GSR block

well i think its the people who have had bad expierences are the reason why other people decide not to use them.

Eagles are fine.. I've had them in my car for 2+ yrs now.. Not a problem..

Its the tuning that is critical.. I'd rather run Eagles w/ a good tune as opposed to running a set Manley/pauter/FR/Crower rods on a shitty tune just to say I have "so and so" rods..
