Strange smell coming from the front...what is it?
Recently my car has started having this strange smell that comes from the front of the car when it is driven. It goes away after the car is warm from what I can tell, but when it is cold you can smell it easily. It smells like exhaust fumes, however I was recently under the car and there were no signs of exhaust cracks anywehre along the piping, and no strange noises are being made. Could some kind of gasket be leaking? Any help appreciated.
My friend suggested it could have something to do with the header. ??

I am not sure...I just had my emissions test done and the car passed, but it still smells like fuel or something, especially if I floor it at lower rpm in a higher gear. Then it really pours out. No other ideas?
that use to happen to me but it was due to me using race fuel in my car....and i get to smell the fume through tthe injectors.... but other then that.. im not sure check for black marks on your exhaust manifold
possibly the header leaking, or the cat i would have to say.
I think that is what it might be. I will check to make sure all the bolts are tight. Thanks
