Screaching Noise
I currently have a fourth gen accord with an H22A. The car got swapped in September of last year, while doin the swap, i changed the clutch setup to ACT, HD pressure plate, SS clutch disk, and a Clutchmasters light flywheel. Clutch was acting perfectly, until about a week ago, when it suddenly starting making a screaching friction noise when i started out in first from a dead stop. I cant tell what the noise is for certain.
What someone told me about a month after i did the swap is that he felt/heard that the wheel bearing was goin out, so i cant be sure what it is. Never dealt with having to work on a wheel bearing before. Scott Byers was the guy that helped me with wiring my ECU and also noticed the wheel bearing problem. But it didnt start making the noise till about 2-3 months after he noticed it, so i cant be sure.
thx in advance

Does it do it if you put your car on a hill and took it out of gear and let it roll? Does it quit when you leave first gear? If you start in second from a roll does it not do it..?. tell us some more details. Most likely if it was the wheel bearing it would do it at any speed, and out of gear, with or without the clutch engaged. If something is wrong with the clutch it could display other symptoms.
No, it doesnt make the noise when you roll down a hill, and only a little bit in second, and progressively less in third, havent heard it in fourth. No other symptoms I can tell of, maybe im just not listening for the right sounds. Thats all i hear so far.
The noise is only initially when you start in first for like a second, from a dead stop, and if enough throttle is applied when your realeasing the clutch after shifting into second, it also makes the same noise, and only a little for third. It seems like its only making the noise when i apply more throttle when i release the clutch, like if you would wanna make a good launch, but im not holding it a constant rpm or anything like that. Just releasing the clutch with a proper amount of throttle. Its really weird, thanx.

I seem to have this problem too, but I wasn't sure if it would be clutch related, as the clutch is only about 2 months old (I have the same clutch set-up as you, with the JUN flywheel). Could it possibly be a gearbox problem? I don't know much about this sort of thing!
