Default would this fuel filter cause me to lean out?

is it a good idea to use the earl's inline fuel filter as a primary fuel filter?

it only flows 4-5 gpm compared to the aeromotive fuel filter which flows 1,200 lb/hr.

i'm experiencing either misfiring or a leaning surge right now and have yet to diagnose the problem and i'm not sure if the filter is the cause of this.

should i upgrade to an aeromotive with a -10an to -6an reducer or stick with the earl's.

1200lbs of gasoline per hour comes out to 3.2 gallons per minute (gas is 6.1lbs per gallon) so your filter flows more than the aeromotive.
