Default Bypass knock sensor.

How can I bypass the knock sensor, except rechip.
Someone has mentioned ground the knock sensor or replace it by resistor.

what's the procedure?

Thanks

you can ground it. Never done the resistor teqnique but that may also work, But grounding will really work

so you could just simply ground the knock sensor wire, and you won't get any codes anymore? My knock sensor connector (on the sensor) is broken so this owuld be a great instead of replacing but i don't udnerstand why anybody else would want to not have a knock sensor, aren't they a good thing??

It will work. What it does it detect dentination and retard the timing when/if it happens. Its a good idea, but from what I've heard the ECU itself by the time it recgonize the knock, its too late. Never tested this though. My ECU chipping friend told me this, no I have another friend Nissan Mechanic/Honda Guru that lives by it. Like I said never tested so I have no real personal proof.

connect the knock sensor wire to the knock sensor, then get another wire, strip the insulation about 2 inches, wrap it around the threaded part of the knock sensor, tape it up good and connect other end of the wire to any bolt in your engine bay (pick a good ground)...tie wrap or tape it to any part of your engine bay wire loom...it worked for me, no more code.
