What would be the best engine to swap in a 5gen accord
About how much does an h22 cost.
What from the old accord would i want to keep for the engine?
is there a site where i can different specs on the engines honda uses?

H22 is probably going to be the best swap you can do. It has comparable TQ and 40more HP than the H23. Approx 65 more HP than the SOHC F22 used in 5th gen Accords.
Expect to pay around $2500 for the motor, tranny, ecu, and wiring harness. That does not include the cost of labor and msc parts you will need to complete the swap.
Depending on the year motor and the year of your fifth gen, you can keep many parts from your Accord. However, expect to buy a new header, throttle cable, and possibly a distributor.
I am currently running a 1994 Accord Sedan with a 1997 H22A4 and JDM tranny.

sell the car, the cars not worth the swap if u want speed. i know several accords w/h22 and some are hitting 16's w/ n20 at the track. not knocking anything but just letting u know.
Oh really? if thats your opinon what would you suggest.
Really the accord if it gets 16's would be fine it just my first toy
i plan on buying a prelude and a integra type-r in the future.
But i would like to know what you suggest for something in
10's

you ran mid 15's my ***. accords are too heavy to run those times u would have to turbo charge them to break 15's. a 5th gen accord with h22 and n20 ran a best of 14.8 with slciks got it on tape. thats not to immpresive
I know who you are talking about, and he has an AUTO which i think slows him down, plus he said he couldn't 'feel' his n2o when he made the 14.8 pass, he had redone his n2o setup the day before, he is a good friend of mine.
he doesn't want to
he is running a JDM auto tranny (can't remember which car it came from) he wants to see how fast they can get an auto to run

still to me an accord is nt for speed, there good show cars. h/b prelundes and integras are good honda speed cars. but thats my opinoin
i agree, an Accord isn't my 1st choice for a fast honda. But my car w/ its few mods, outruns SIs w/ lots more mods in drag racing and on a road course i was keeping up w/ ITA CRXs w/ race tires for awhile (my street tires were starting to chunk
) So an accord can be fast, most people don't think they are though, i think it is funny to see people's face when they get beat by a 'stock' accord. My car looks completely stock except it is lowered ~1" and clear corners.
