I am shooting for 400+HP eventually from my built ZC.

I can go with the:

Stage 1 Axles.
Can handle "225HP".
$400

Stage 2 axles.
Can handle "400HP".
$700

The reason I'm asking, is because I have heard so much about people running 500+ hp on stock axles and never having a problem. Will I be fine with the stage 1's if I modulate the clutch off the line? OR do I need to spend an extra 300 dollars for more insurance?

What do you think?

BTW, I don't know what size of slick I'm gonna run (CRX)...anyone have any reccomendations?

I would personally go witht he stage 2 for the added insurance. 24.5*13*8

 

get something more than you need. arent you shooting for 400 hp? go w/ some stage 3's then! plus if u ever go dohc , stage 3's will hold up as well

 

autozone axles have done me good! 70 bux a pop! I'm only running 250whp right now. aiming for 300.

 

Stage three, and never worry about them again. Frank does good work. I wish he would coat them with something a little more durable though.
