Right now i have my CF hood on my EK and i am trying to decide if i want to keep it on. here are some pics so tell me what you guys think.

Keep CF hood
Paint Side Moldings(or shave them)
Get an SI front lip...

 

keep the CF hood....looks good though either way

 

This was my plan, either get a type R lip or Si lip. Thanks though for the idea! Im thinking jdm side moldings and paint them white.

Both look nice, but I like the stock look better

 

get a new front bumper. painted lower grills look nasty.

 

ya keep the the CF hood

 

CF hoods are just for show, the minimal weight reduction is next to none comparatively. Stock looks way better.

 

the pic with your cf hood on gives the car more personality IMO, looks boring with your stock hood. but alot of cars look nice with stock hoods too

I can't believe you're asking if you should keep your carbon hood based on aesthetics.

What was your reason for buying the hood in the first place?

 

So are you saying someone can't buy a CF solely for cosmetics? Yes, some people actually like the look of carbon fiber.

 

put the white one back on and paint your mouldings and mirrors.

 

If you bought the hood because you liked the look of it, why would you want to remove it?

More people need to spend more time driving their car then worrying about what it looks like.

 

More people need to quit telling others what they need to worry about.

If it's personal preference, then why bother asking? A lot of members here need to make their own decisions in life.

 

This attitude is what needs to stop on this board. Do you actually know the user who is posting this question? Do you know first hand that he has a hard time making decisions? I mean ****, haven't you ever done a cosmetic mod to your car and then asked a friend, what do you think? Or have you ever tried on a shirt at your local walmart( ) and then asked, what do you think? If so, then maybe you need to start learning how to form your own decisions.

 

i would leave the cf. but you need to paint the mirrors and side molding.
