pioneer TS-W5000 vs. JL W7
how do these to subs compare?
what would you chose for integ?
what would you chose for integ?
and the jl sub is an SQL( sound quality with loud volume output) type....
My question to you is:
a. what type of amp are you planning/will use to power it?
b. what is your goal...SPL competitions or avg street listening?
I'll be waiting...the answers you provide determine the best sub for your
application ( PS bigger is not always better)
i don't plan on entering any competions. i just want a really nice street setup. and i have heard the w7's before and liked them, but i haven't heard anything about the pioneer subs. so i was curious how they compare. i was going to power the w7 with the jl 1000/1 amp. thats enough to power it right?
You could do that....another possibility is to step down a level in the subs
the W6v2's are great subs output is actually 50% over the originals and they share
much of the same technology as the w7's ( a little easier on the wallet too
)
so go have fun ( as for me I have my eye on the 13" W6v2 )

Just to clarify...look for the version 2 of the w6 product,jl discontinued the
original w6 this year...they have released a special 10th anniversay edition.
For your trunk....you can do a single sealed enclosure...subs facing trunk.
You can actually use a 5001 to push both...sweet
