you obviously have NEVER driven one. that car is more fun to drive than any Honda (or any other car for that matter) that I have ever driven.

Damn you must have not driven many cars. I think miata's are nice cars, rear wheel owns...but it is still a little girl car. It is not even close to a S2000, or many other cars.

 

I have heard Miata's handled very well. I have seen friends of mine with ITR's get beat buy miata's in autoX. I still agree it is a chick car though.

 

my roomate has one. fun car to drive, but wherever we go people think we're two gay guys driving around listening to loud techno/dance music (that's what my roomate listens too )

 

who cares what people think. i bet they're fun as **** to drive.

 

like ppl mention before, anyone been to autoX know miata's one of the most great handling car within it's price range.

I agree most of the guys driving it thinks it's chick magnet roadster type of sh-t but there's some fast miata out there(greddy tubro'ed for example).

I have seen S2000's and ITR's get owned SOOO bad by Miatas in autox events, stock Miatas at that.

I don't know why a Miata is considered a girl's car. What do most girls want, automatic tranny right? They don't give a rat's @$$ about shifting and would rather leave it to the car to do that. Well, the LARGE MAJORITY of Miatas are manual transmission. I have only seen a couple of Miatas with auto tranny.

Most Miatas I see are driven by guys anyway.

Because for the most part, at least from what I have seen around here...most of the people that own S2000's and most of the ITR are stupid tards. AutoX is 90% driver. I have seen EF's own 100K sports cars. Seeing cheaper cars own more expensive ones is nothing new, its mostly in the driver. Like I said, I think the miata is a decently fun car to drive for that price range. But, overall I still think it is a girl car...just look at it.

I don't base whether it's a girl's car on looks. I have seen lots of bad@$$ New Beetles, but that is for the most part a girl's car, because the majority of them are driven by women.

V6 Mustangs and Firebirds are girls' cars, too, because mostly girls drive them.

I usually see guys driving Miatas, so therefore it's not a girl's car IMHO.

Yea I dunno...I just think its a little gurlish. If it had something like a 240HP 6speed and a little bit more agressive styling I would like it. IMO

that's the rx8 right there..miata is suppose to be those sporty, rwd, mid-low budget weekend roadster for people under 35
