ran 16.7@83mph....is that average for a all stock 90 crx dx w/ a messed up factory muffler?? what times are other stockers running in this foruM??

 

My 91 dx 4dr ran a 17.5@77 bone stock...

 

thats a decent time bro! ive seen SIs struggle to pull that kind of ET. good job. my 91 HF ran a 18.4... poo on 8 valves...

 

well....i managed to hit a 2.343 60' time with some shitty no name tires on my 13" steelies...i believe i couldve managed a 16.5-6 with some more runs because i misshifted 2nd to 3rd twice and we only had 4 runs.....somethings wrong with my tranny....seems to not catch gears.....shiet need a new engine

another quick run from an almost factory hatchback(eg) with a dx mpfi engine with intake and exhaust lowered ran 16.4@84mph....now that's quick for that model car....somehow, his car is amazingly fast compared to my other friends eg hatch.....

what times are others running?????

 

Not really, back in 96 my friends DX hit 15.4 with only intake,exhaust and mild cam. Before the cam it went 16.2s all the time.

 

When my Civic was a Auto DX it ran 18.4! Hahaha! Thats pretty damn good I would say!

 

dayam are those factory dx eg hatches that quick???

 

i dunna know, i always felt the dx was underrated. it's a pretty zippy little car.

 

Your car sounds pretty damn familiar! I was always afraid of going to the track because I didn't want to run a 17 seconf 1320 but now with this new added hope...

i beleive u jsut for a simple fact that i saw a CRX DX once on the track bone stuck without even a filter and ran a 16.4..... was crazy DPFI yo!

 

Some of them were I suppose. My friend is an excellent driver though. He is one of those people who can jump into anyones car and best the owners ET by at least a tenth or two. His EG ended up have a nitrous fed GSR motor in it. 11s baby.
