Default Koyo Radiator ?

I want to run a Koyo radiator in my 4th gen cause my stock rad. is cracked.

Which fans do you use? I'd rather not spend $300 for the FAL or Fluidyne.

I just would like some info on these Radiators before I buy it, thanks.

Hey man, I actually JUST got back from the track. I was talking with an instructor about this very topic. He did not recommend the Koyo or Fluidyne. He said that the OEM one should be fine.

He is building up a CRX as a race car and that's what he got . He said that the OEM one is sufficient.

I was having he same dilemna sice I am going to be using my car for track/autoXs/daily driving. Honestly, I THOROUGHLY trust this guys judgement.

What do you plan on using your car for??

Totally agree, for a setup like yours, a big radiator is great, but for a non boosed car, no need for it..

I was wondering if it is better for your engine to run a bigger one cause either way I have to buy a radiator. I am only planning on bolt ons and a mild build but I not going to run a real high compression ratio or boost.

I may just get a stock one but I would rather pay the extra $$$ if it will help my engine run cooler.

Thanks for help.

I bigger radiator will not make your engine run cooler... you need thermastat, and different regulator sensor to do that...

Which regulator sensor do I need?(I haven't heard of this some don't blame me for the stupid question) I can get a better thermostat. Does the high pressure rad. caps help or is it a gimick?

I will probably just run a stock one that doesn't leak

spoon
The spoon one won't work, it's not threaded correctly and it is very different from the stock sensor (made for the B and K series engines). You will have to re-tap your t-stat connection to get it to work. Mugen supposedly makes one for the 5th gen but I know no one who has tried it.
