H23 Build......where do I find pistons, rods, rings?
I want to build my H23 and go N/A....but I can't find any parts for an H23. Every site I go to or every magazine I look in, the only pistons or rods they carry for an H-series is...the all elusive H22. I would like to know if you guys know a site or how to get H23 engine parts. thanks
crower.com or if you wanna do it all together at once call GE and they will do a compelet rebuild for you
Use H22a pistons....
H22a 10:1 pistons in H23: 10.4:1
JDM 10.6:1 in H23: 11:1
Type-S 11:1 in H23 : 11.5
get it?
why does your sig say h23a4

I figured you couldn't put H22 pistons into an H23. Wouldn't that cause the engine to die? I don't know much about internals. So, I could just buy JE h22 pistons and h22 Crower rods and put those into my h23 block w/ out any other mods and those combinations won't cause any engine trouble? What type of HP increase would I see w/ new h22 pistons and rods? Sorry for sounding like a newbie.
h22 and h23 use same aftermarket piston.. like a h22 9:1 JE is the same part number as h23 9:1 for h23... not the same pn from honda due to compression ratio... bore is same, stroke makes displacement higher.

Crower makes H23 rods, but if you use h22 rods and h23 crank your pistons will stick out of the block at TDC
btw why did your sig say h23a4? and why is it changed?

You're confusing me when you say crank and stuff like that. Remember I don't know much about internals, especially the block. So, what would I need to get if I wanted to build my H23? What type of pistons and what type of rods would should I get? H22/H23? What compression pistons.....? Forged....? What type of HP gain should I expect?
Hey if I am confusing you talking about pistons crankshafts and rods, maybe you shouldn't be building your engine. Not trying to be a dick, but you need to do some reading or something....

Hey lude- If your goin with a NA motor you don't want to use h22 pistons. Your only talkin a compression ratio of 10:6. In a NA motor that's not a lot. You want a forged piston, rods, and possible crank. Depending on what u do with your car street/strip you can put a 11:5 or 11:7 piston and drive it on higher octane pump gas. Now you can actually go as high as 12:1 but your car would need some tuning to be able to run it on pump gas. I really like Eagle as far as pistons, rods, etc. Never had a problem with them. I can get you whole rotating assemblies for a good price or if you just want rods or pistons same applies. Get at me if you need some more info or prices on stuff.

buy my crower rods. they've just been sitting here in their boxes looking pretty. PM me if you're interested. check my sig too.
just tell them u want H22 piston and every thing esle h23.
rods-- crower h23
je pistons (say u want 9:1) tell them u want a 9:1 for h22
its the same pistons as the 9:1 for h23
