What tranny do I have?
So I'm crusing AutoZone's web site for axles and transmission-axle seals and the site asks me what tranny do I have.
My choices are:
H2A5, H2U5 TRANSMISSION
L3, S20 TRANSMISSION
M2S4 TRANSMISSION
M2L5 TRANSMISSION
I have no clue. I can't find any numbers like that... The only thing I can see is the D15B7 on the engine... And I can barely read that because it's covered in crap and corrosion. There's also a Barcode with a long list of numbers on the tranny bellhousing. But it doesn't match any of those short numbers.
The car is a 1993 Civic LX sedan, 5 speed manual.

ON the tranny house about 8 inches to the left of the engine block code, theres like sitcker/serial number looking thing. There is numbers on it. The first numbers on it is your tranny code. Example I have a GSR tranny and the serial says.. "Y80" 58376...

Nah.. not axles.. Tranny oil seals.. I shoulda said that... I'm replacing those too, just out of good maintenance.
They're probably leaking too. I dunno. Everything in the engine bay is covered in crud and oil...
