Default Hondata question?

Thinking of getting S200 with boost sometime in near future....... The only question i had was.......If i take it and get it tuned at 12 psi and later turn it up to 14 psi will the hondata recognize this change and adjust or do i have to get it retuned?

Same goes for lowering boost? if i tune it for 14psi, can i turn it down with boost controller on street or what?

tune to whatever your max boost will be, then turn down the boost to what you will drive on normally. You can't tune to 12 and expect that when you push to 14+ that is will be tuned. if anything, it will be way off and you'll blow your engine.

No because a reliable tuner will tune in incremental increases in boost to get a well tuned fuel and ignition map, not just at a specific psi. thats why it takes time to tune well

When tuning a system like hondata, aem, or any other standalone systems, you have to map out the values up to the max input of your map sensor. So if you have a 2 bar you tune up to ~14psi, and 3 bar up to ~28psi. A tuner will usually tune your car to the max boost level you plan on running and just set the rest of the map to a safe margin, but it will not be dialed in as much as the section of the map you do most of your driving in.
