B18b Swap done in 98 EK, car won't idle and go past 3500rpms................HELP!!!
Ok I am using a OBD1 B18b w/ an OBD1 LS ecu in my 98 HB. The car starts but will not idle. The car will not go past 3500 rpms the only time that it will is right after start up when I punch the gas but once I let off then I can no longer pass 3500rpms. I have to keep my foot on the Gas or the car will shut off. I know that the vacuum lines are definitely wrong. Also I noticed my throttle body does not have the nipple on top (near the idle screw). Could this be it? Anyone has a pic? Help me out. BTW the car is not throwing any CEL's.
Can someone tell me what color wires go to the Map Sensor, TPS. Also where does the vacuum line from my stock Canister go to? Help me out fellas.

Check all your wiring and check your IAC valve...I may be dumb but stuff that happens to these motors can be dumber....my .02
EDIT: Get a Vacuum hose diagram...ask around or do a search.

did you mess with the cams? Maybe replace the timing belt? If so be very sure to check the cam timing. And yes vaccuum lines are very importnant
does it blow alot of black **** out the exhaust? you could chech the tps and map plugs. you may have them mixed. i did this once and it really makes your car run like major ****, like what you have described.
When my car wasn't going past 3500rpms It was my TPS sensor. So try replacing that. Also did you repin your IAC valve for the LS? That may be why it is not idling.
