Default Noob question

I know this might sound dumb but if u guys had a choice, what would be faster on a crx? A DOCH ZC or A D16 vtec? Ohh and thats on a CRX DX. Alos whats cheaper to do?? thanx

IMO a d16 vtec would be faster, would be cheaper, and has more aftermarket potential! If i were you I would get either a d16z6 or a d16y8.

d16z6- 92-95 Civic ex coupe, 92-95 Civic Si hatch
d16y8- 96-00 Civic ex coupe

I might go for the D16y8, but does it bolt in or do i need a mount?? and what else do i need?? Better yet do u guys know a site that shows how to do it??

I had a sohc VTEC in a CRX Si, and let me tell you... it really really felt fast. I ran a best of 15.2 in the quarter, it got wicked gas mileage because I was running OBD-I, and parts were so easy to find.
