the difference between the d16z6 and the d16y8 are as follows:
d16y8 has a Different quench design on the head and has 2 more hp than the d16z6 and the d16y8 is in the 96-00 civic ex, d16z6 in 92-95 civic/del sol si
the other difference is the tranny on the d16z6 has shorter ratios and a slightly higher redline than the other 7200 compared to the 6900 on the other motor

also one is obd1 and the other being obd2...does that make any difference?? if youre going to throw, lets say a d16y8 into a 92-95 hatch, would it work properly?
