I just found out today that a local shop in my town now does swaps. They said that they charge around $1000 for a swap, that's just for the labor to install a supplied engine. I'm not sure about any warranties, do most places offer one? Also, those of you who have had professionally installed engines, how much did you pay? Thanks

 

i paid $1000 for my b18 and put it myself

 

my local shops charge $3500 for everything I think its comes to about $800-$1000 for labor

usually a shop charges around 800 for just the labor. plus then you have to get the motor and everything else. just do it yourself!

 

1000 bucks is pretty steep for a swap in tampa here it is around 750.00 if its an 88-91 i usually charge like 300 for all my friends i can be done in about a day and a half

 

i know of a import shop that will swap a b16a into your car for 600 bucks..on the other hand i did mine myself..you'll learn a ton

Just did it my self, my swap cost around 2k. I can't imagine what the shop would warranty since you are supplying the used engine.

i rebuilded it for around 325
swaped it myself
normal tune up stuff another 200
