Any tips on polishing plastic, partically tail lights?

i think mothers has a plastic polisher.. i remember seeing it at a local shop, give it a try

There are lots of plastic polsihing products out there. Call you local paint supply house and buy a professional product. I think "novus" is one of them. Also, AutoZone sells some but I dont know if it is any good. There are different compounds available for light or heavy scratches, too.

I wax mine as well with Meguiar's Gold class, works awesome, they come out very nice and shiny, almost look new !!

I'm kind of a 3M fan, so I'll try that 3M stuff. Here's a link to the 3M Plastic Polishes. Other sites list it for about $8 a bottle. I can't believe how many car care products they have listed on the site...

It works for getting all the dirt particles and stuff off and making it super smooth. If it's foggy, you might have to open it up to clean it.
