Default I've got a question about installing Pedals

Hi guys, dont flame i just bought my first car a week ago . It is a 92 Prelude SR, and yesterday I bought some Ractive pedals. My car is auto, unfortunatly so i have just the brake and the gas to install. I installed the Brake pedal with no problems, but the gas is a bit different. Its going to be a tad hard to explain, so bear with me. My new pedals, come with the chrome pedal its self, and on the back, is a plate, which i assume clamps on to the back of the car pedal, and screws on to the chrome plate, just like the brake did. However, the gas pedal that comes with my car, isn't flat on the back. It has a plastic arch almost, and i cannot fit the backing of the new pedal on the back of the car pedal, so i can't screw the chrome and the back together. The kit that came with my pedals has a thin (half an inch, maybe a quarter of an inch wide) aluminum strip, and its got a few extra screws and such. can anyone please let me know how to install these? I would appreciate any help. thanks alot.

If it is anything like my Street Glows (shut up! they were free! ), then try turning the aluminum piece so that it goes across the other corners.

I did; the indiglo ones weren't my choice, i was gonna get some Razo's w/ the adj. heel piece on the acc. pedal, but my parents got me some Street Glow's for Christmas, so I stuck w/ those. And I'm not sure bout the plate, but mine came w/ a strip that had holes in each end. You screw it in on one corner, and then the opposite one diagonal from it.
