Knock Knock - Who's There? - A Spun Bearing
O man, I got a spun rod bearing on my 1990 D15. My question is should I replace the piston rod and crank or does someone here have a decent bottom end block that I can rebuild my little car with. I dont want to do a swap because I want to sell the car and put the $$$ into my EG hatch.
Thanks

The car was like that when I bought it. It had a burnt valve and I replaced the head. But after I got the head on I then noticed the rod was a knockin so I am assuming that the detonation that got the head also damaged the rod bearing.
Just a guess, as I am not a diagnostic guy
