Default ME TOO! I just got my 1992 Civic VX hatch!!

Ya, I finally got my project car. I have a 7th gen LX coupe also, but thats not tuner friendly right now. I was just looking in the paper thinking about buying one, but I saw a VX hatch for 1900 and I thought, hey maybe I can talk them down...

I did, I got it for 1400. It has 222k miles and a bit of rust on the rear quarter panels, but thats normal for around here. Its gonna need some work, but I really just want it for speed and less show. I'll still make it look nice though. The teal color will have to go!!

I think the B18B will be my engine. I just don't have the cash for the GSR motor along with everything else. The B18B can always be boosted later!! It needs some good suspension parts too. Any suggestions for suspension/brakes/wheels?? And don't suggest stuff that I would need to sell my soul to be able to afford...

Anyways, I'm gonna be on this board alot more now I'm sure. Lata!

Congrats foo! Thats a good find.. seal up those rusty spots as soon as you get a chance or it will just get worse. The LS engine is a nice choice especially if you decide to snail the thing later on down the road. In the mean time, it will put down some decent numbers. As for your question about wheels/brakes/susp.. that really depends on what you wanna do with your car. Is this gonna be mainly for the quarter mile or auto x kinda ****? Let us know and good luck with your project.

haha, EGs are sooo pretty!! congrats man.

LS motors are very inexpensive.
Here's an idea for a mild set up.

LS block p30 pistons (overbore)
LS head with Crower cams
A nice header/intake, with CTR exhuast

Thanks for the info guys. I think I mainly want something that would do decently autocrossing. I haven't started into that yet, but I figure that will handle well on the street too, so thats what I'm lookin for over straight line suspension. I was thinking of 16s for rims. I do like the sleeper look (cant you tell by the name? ) so I was wondering if there are any aluminum wheels that look like the stock steelies, but maybe 15" size?? I think I might just get some anthracite 16s in the end though. I need a little show!

if you are looking for some nice stock-like rims, look for some gsr rims, or 99-00 si's, both are 15's, both look good

Man you can build one of those so low tech and cheap. Buy some low cost rims spray them if you have to. A few hundred in the suspension and a low cost swap and you jammin.

Congrats

For $1400 It's a great deal. B18b also It's not a bad choice, but when It's come to motors swap you want to go with the best so you'll not regret later. When It come to a hatch and motors swap b18c1 It's the best that what I got in my 92cx hatch and I love it.
