Sup I did a b18b swap in my 98 EK. I am using and OBD2 LS motor with an OBD1 LS ecu. Here's the problems:

Idle surges from below 500rpm to 2000rpm then if I let go of the gas then the car stalls.

Car does not go about 3k rpms. What could it be??

Help me out need my car running good. I got a CEL but I havent checked out. I will but I was hoping u guys can give me some ideas.

 

Did you check the hoses? That was the problem in my Z.

 

i would put an obd 2 ecu in, and go from there

 

same thing happen to me.... bogging 1ooo-3000 trouble starting unless you let a little gas in if not it stalls. the problem i had but i got it fixed was my wiring connected to the ecu because if you did the wiring ghetto and cutted wires everywhere it might be the problem.

 

make sure all the connections are to the right sensors, there are two that have the same plug. check for vacuum leaks, check wiring and adjust the idle.
