Default b16 running like garbage

My car just started running poorly tonight. I was pulling out of a road, it was a lil cold, not fully warmed up yet, and it just started dying, like it was gonna stall out. I very slowy reached 50 mph then it began to run smoother. I drove for an hour on the highway today if that has anything to do with it, but it ran like a top.
The only thing i can really compare it to is driving a snowmobile with one of hte plug wires off......if anybody can relate to that, which i doubt.
I filled it up with gas, put dry gas in it, drove it around a bit, and it almost seems to be worst. I checked all my grounds and they seem to be fine. What could cause my car to all of sudden be acting like this.

Thanks for any info

sounds like a ignition coil to me man. ..

symptoms of a bad coil would be irradic acceleration, decreased gas mileage, over suckassness

im fairly sure this is your problem, but if you dont want to replace parts on a guess take it into a shop and check for sure, or borrow someones coil and see if that fixes it.

one of the funny things is that aftermarker ignition, with external coil is almost the same price as a new coil, if you just want to get the 6A msd. . .

anyway hope you get the problem fixed up man

derek

NO the problem seems to be getting worse, was happening all last night.... Gonna go drive it to town this morning, see if the dry gas made any difference, otherwise idk, gotta drive an hour to work today, dont wanna get stranded or mess anything up on the motor bad.

The number 1 plug was wet, looked like it had a drop of water? on it, never seen a spark plug that wet before, dried it off, put it back in , and ran fine.
