Fluctuating idle when car is cold
Alright....this is probably a noob question, but can anyone explain to me why my motor does this. I get in the can and start her up and she idles a little high for a while and then it starts to fluctuate between 1500 to 2000 rpms. After the motor heats up it is all normal.
The reason why I am concerned is because none of my cars ever did this and this just started like 2 weeks ago.

could be the iacv. Pull it off- on the back of intake mani there are 2 12mm bolts holding er on. Remove the plug and coolant lines, remove the IAC and clean out the little metal screen and the plastic valve with carb cleaner. reset the ecu and see if the problem was fixed. DO NOT do this while the engine is warm unless you like to get burned.
Could also be a vac leak, but most likely the IAC. I would clean it out before it throws a code, then you're looking at 170 from the dealer

thanks bro....that actually solved my problem. i let it soak in Carb Cleaner for like 3 hours and let it dry for 1 and then slapped it back on.
No more fluctuation
