F-ing Ridiculous code 4
Okay i did a MPFI swap, it resulted in a code 4 (cyl posistion sensor) I have now rerun the wires, tried all combinations (blu/grn-C1, blu/grn-C2), soldered in new connectors, and even broke down and bought a rebuilt distributor ($200 :mad
I now have no money and a car that still does not run. My only idea left is the ECU but I swapped in a friends working ECU and it gave a code 4 too.
WTF is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

check the plugs in your distributor and make sure that all the pins are pushed in all the way. That's what happened to me recently... replaced ecu, distributor still getting code 4. checked the distributor plugs, cleaned em and made sure they're making good contact...solved the problem.
I thought that might be a prob so I pulled them out of the plug and did a *light* tack with solder directly to the wire, no fix. Or do you mean inside the housing?

what it is, is loose connection. I'd trace from the distributor all the way to your ecu and make sure that you have a good line. I found out that if there's a bad connection, distributor heats up so much that sensors fail resulting in codes...in this case code 4.

For starters code 4 has nothing to do with the blue/green blue/yellow wires that is Cylinder Position sensor code 9. Code 4 is Crank postition sensor check at your ECU between pins B10 and B12 and see if the resistance is between 350 and 550 ohms. At the Diz one wire is orange and the other is white with red tape it usually. Test the resistance between them also should be 350-550 ohms. you have B10 connected where orange wire I think use to be C1 and B12 to the white wire I think was C2. If the resistance checks out try swaping pins B10 and B12 you may have them revesed
if the sensor is picking up backwards (even though instructions say it doesn't matter) will throw a CEL
now get out and test it I/M me if still have problems.
