what box to buy for a single infinity perfect 10 ??
i have read a lot about past topics about building boxes and I am not ready to build my own (nervous that i might **** up and start over). So i've decided to just buy a premade hatch box.
question is...is there a specific box that you guys would recommend for a single Infinity Perfect 10 ????
I might be able to get a deal on a single 10" box around my area.

Trust me, just build your own. It is really easy to do. It'll fit better and hit better than anything you can buy pre-made.
Get the recommended specs off infinity's site.

i want the back of the box at an angle almost the same angle as the back of the rear seats. how would i go about making a box like that.
how much better is a custom box over a pre made box ?
what i'm really worried about is sealant.

did you build it exactly like a triangle or was there a smaller flat spot on top of the box ???
and i went to infinity's site and they don't have any specs for the sub concerning recommened box size ???

Well I built the back end like a triangle. Kinda like a triangle tacked onto a rectangle. That angular space is like free volume since you won't put anything between the box and the seats.
What size is your speaker? Do you know the model number?

On their site they recommned .60ft^3 with the sides lined with 1 inch of polyfill. This is actually really small. The box will at least need to be 6.5" deep (internal measurement) though due to the mounting depth of the speaker.
Just by running the numbers really quick and making some educated guesses about the rear angle you would be roughly looking at 12X12X(7 (top depth) to 11 (bottom depth)). 3/4 MDF. That would give you roughly .5ft^3. Add more polyfill to make up for the volume difference.

Polyfill is like cotton *****, but its polyester? and comes in 1lb bags.
1ft^3 = 1 cubic foot.
12L 12W 12H is correct
Your box will not be exactly one cubic foot internally unless you add the thickness of your wood to each side.
Example: 3/4" MDF - 12.75L x 12.75W x 12.75H = 1ft^3

ok so i will be building a square box but what do i do if i want that angle at the bck of the box ?? extend the bottom piece further back a couple inches ?? will it affect anything since its creating more internal space ??
where can i get polyfill and where EXACTLY do i put when putting the box together ?
what EXACTLY i should say to the guy at home depot when cutting the 3/4 mdf for me ??

k bro i cannot access the parameters for this subwoofer. it won't load or something.
you think you can do me a favor and come up with the measurements for the box for this specific sub ......PLEASE ??
i would really appreciate it if you can tell me the EXACT measurements because obviously you're better at this than I am!
oh yeah can i get that spray glue stuff in the same walmart section ?

My estimate witout measuring your backseat would be:

Also the spray glue is in the walmart home materials section.. by the paint and various other liquids,

That comes out to .5347ft^3. It should work fine. I've heard from several different sources that you should have atleast a 1" gap between your woofer and the sides of the box. I don't know if this makes much of a difference though.
That is:
7" top depth.
11" bottom depth
12" height
12" width
Stuff with polyfill.

11" bottom depth
12" height
12" width

alright thanks bro!
those are the measurements i'm gonna take to home depot
ummm when you said stuff with polyfill.....is that the same thing as you saying 'infinity recommend polyfill in all inside walls of the box ?
and you know for the back of the box....that piece will be at an angle.
how do i cut the ends so that they are flush with the top and bottom piece ?
