D series Intake on a HF motor????????
a buddy of mine just bought a 89 crx and i found a d series intake in or auto tech lab so i nabed it. Before i took it i looked at it and made sure that everythinh would go on just like it was on the hf intake and it did.
The car has 202,555 miles on it and i was wondering if i should even bother to help him put it on his car. The reason we want to put it on it is because it has a bigger chamber and can bring in more air so wil it hurt the motor in any way if we do put it on???
Someone help me please

My question is WHY? The HF is a beautiful engineering feat that gives excellent milage. There is nothing in it's design even remotely close to performance other than gas milage. Read-slow-if you need/want performance, you have to swap engines and trannys. Even a DX is a huge step up! Drop a Si in it and be happy.

u can gain a max of like 5 hp with the intake...
but when it comes to a 62 hp engine, witht he power curve u will barely feel that power until u hit the 5500 redline of that shitty engine
IMO swap a cheap SOHC VTEC or something of that nature....
u will not be disapointed...
and if u want to see more to convince u, come along daytons Target store, or come to the HT meeting on sunday... ill show u my car and some others,,,,
