Here is what I have so far:

Polk Momo 6.5" components in custom kickpanels
audiobahn 2601x (150x2 @4ohms RMS)
Polk Momo 12" sub (this sub sucks and i'm taking it back asap)
audiobahn 2801x (500x1 @2ohms RMS)

Now heres my problem, I got everything off ebay except the sub, which I just bought the other day at circuit city, because you can take them back in 30 days, and I ususally buy subs there and keep them for a few weeks and trade it in so I have a "system." Well I have determined that all of their subs suck. I wanna get a class d amp in the future, and have a custom box in the back made with a single 12 that hits like no tomorrow. But that costs alot of $$$.

So with the money I am gonna get back I am gonna buy some 6x9's and a 4 channel amp, and try and sell both of my other amps. I was looking at the audiobahn A4601Q it is 75x4 @4ohms RMS so that will do OK i guess.....but the momos take 150rms and so do the 6x9's...

Is there a better choice for me?

another 2 channel amp..... When 1 dies it's not that big of a deal ...... or a JL 450/4. I'd rather have more power & have to turn the gains down than have to have them cranked up all the time

 

Yes you can....

 

Xtant gives you pure SQ!! No matter what the rms power is. It's well underated check out my award winning Xtant system. I know you can do better but not the average JOE can afford 2g's for a amp . I've competed for years and just left that seen and seen lots of systems and listen to alot of high end equipment and Xtant is a good investment and thats my 2 cents

You could just keep the 2 channel that you have existing and use it to run both the components and the 6X9's. Just run it stereo at 2ohms and you shouldn't have a problem at all. Then you don't need to buy another amp just sell the 2801x. The only thing that you lose is the ability to fade from front to back. Just a thought.

Oh yeah and just for my 2 cents. A Xtant amp is ok but for the same price a Zapco Reference series amp will blow it away!!! Actually the zapco may even be priced below comparable Xtants

if you ever wanna see a grown man cry, have him open his trunk after a 6 pack of beer broke open all over his 2 Xtant 1001d's....

Luckily, our stereo shop was cool as **** and warrantied them... We went in, played dumb, and they said dont lie... you spilled beer on them... lol...
