Beautiful man.
I would LOVE to build my H23 motor for boost but the total cost for building the motor PLUS the turbo is just to much.
Good luck with it.

How far away are you from MD?? I would LOVE to see that setup.

the difference between a long-block and a short block is that short block doesnt include the head and the long block does, right?

that is correct... there's 3 common terms that have been used for decades:

shortblock: bottom end, loaded.
longblock: bottom end and head, loaded.
turnkey: engine with all items needed to run installed.

man thats too nice a block to throw stock rods in, especially if your gonna boost on it. it would be very sad to see a rod punch out a window in that block. BTW is that an 89mm bore?

The rods are some what OEM but an aftermarket brand makes them

You know no one makes arp bolts for a h23 rod.

The shop that did them for me he test them with crower and eagle rods and put them in a machine to test how many lbs it will hold before snapping or bending them
crower came out on top and mine came 2nd eagle came last
mine bent way before snapping. Eagles don't bend they snap

But if you ever look rods dont bend much they only come apart at the bolts

Guy tells me that the rods are good up to about 550whp and if i snap one under that much power with out there being a reason why it did he will pay to fix every thing he will hold me to this for 1 year

Let us know how those clevite bearings work out.Depending on how much my crank needs to be micro-polished and if my block needs to be line honed,i may have to get aftermarket bearings.
