I looked through my stack of pix but I couldn't find any engine pix. All I have under the hood is a N/A 1.6 SOHC VTEC. My best E.T.A. was 13.7 @ 109 mph at the track in Ennis, TX. I am going to do a DOHC VTEC swap soon. Don't ask what motor because I'm still debating on an LS/VTEC, B20/VTEC, H22, B18C or a B16. Any suggestions?

how did u run 13's on NA 1.6 sohc???

 

Needs a sp00n duckbill but I like it a lot Only thing I'm against is the windshield banner, but not like that's a big deal

Dayum I don't even think a stock N/A B-series in a hatch will pull a 13.7, unless the car is maybe VERY stripped down and the driver is VERY good. What u got?? Little shot o' gas?

The reason why my car ran 13.7 was because I was motivated to beat people with DOHC VTEC swaps so that I can clown them. It took a lot of time and money to get to where it is right now. The mods that are in it are: Port & polished head, port matched TB, ZEX race cam & valve springs, bigger valves, iceman cai, unorthodox underdrive pulley, cusco cam gear, nology wires, msd ignition & coil, dc header, ACT 6 puck clutch, Quaife diff, Apex'i exhaust with 2 1/4" piping all the way to the header w/o a cat, B&M fuel pressure reg, M/T slicks, and I always ran $5.00/gal 104 octane race gas that I bought at the track when I ran it. I always ran with my full interior and my gas at or below 1/4 tank. But now I'm going to get a DOHC VTEC swap because I want to build a 10 sec car. The SOHC VTEC is going into my girls 89 Civic Hatch.

Yeah that's my favorite pic too...I took that pic right after I got it out of the paint booth back in '97.

 

you have more than one header? is that why it ran a 13.7 because you have a v8 in there?
