power steering ripped out ??????????
when the mechanic did my swap on my 93 hatch ... he said that the power steering wouldnt fit so he disconnected it .... i just went for a test drive and that **** is so tight to turn is like you have to use so much forced to turn the wheel cause is really stiff .now this is the question that i have .have any of you guys done this . i mean ripped out the powersteering and rode on it manual but using the power steering rack ????? cause im thinking of going to the junk yard and getting a manual rack and swaping it ......also i have a strut bar on s i know that makes it a lil harder to manuver also ... do any of you guys think i should go get a manual rack or keep the power rack running it manual ntill i get used to it ????
thanks

um...it's not that hard to turn...lol.
I ripped out my pump and lines, and just removed some fluid and blocked the lines out of the rack. It's really easy to turn, better ratio, better road feel, and no parasitic drag on the crank

if you are not going to reconnect the power steering or you have no use for it, then i would buy a manual rack. i am driving my car that originally came w/ power steering and i yanked it out when i did my swap...and i have to use force to turn the steering wheel. i am going to reconnect the power steering later.
maybe is just that im used to driving it with power steering so it seems a lil stiffer ,, i might give a a try for a few months so maybe i get used to it .
i also got no AC now
