auto-->manual?? has it been done?
its been done, and its not very hard.....it could be a bit pricey if you dont do the work yourself, but you'll definately be happy with the results.
it's cake, if you are comfortable with pulling your engine, i'd recomend doing this to make things easier...hanging the clutch and brake pedal is a bitch if you don't...oh, and don't expect your reverse lights to work either!

I did a 5spd swap and my reverse lights work just fine. All you have to do is splice the wires from the auto shifter selector to the ones on the trans.
What you need for the swap:
1. Manual Tranny
2. Cluthch pedal assembly
3. Clutch master cylander, and all of the hydraulic lines
4. New clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and alignment tool
5. Beer
Make sure you have ALL of the above, or the swap just wont work.... it is not hard at all, although your car will probably be down for a while. i wouldnt pull the motor to do this though, its not necessary. just follow the instructions in your helms or oem service manual (you DO have one, right?), and it's cake. not really anything to **** up, as long as you align the clutch disk, and dont kink the hydraulic lines. good luck man
