My crx locks on the doors are pretty much shot from people trying to break in. I'm getting an alarm soon and would like some door actuators to punch out the locks. Where can I get some? How much are they? Brands? Any help would be great!

 

At the shop I used to work at they were $65 per door installed. Most of the brands are offbrands, but I seem to remember NOT liking the DEI (viper alarms) brand.

There are also some with built in circuit breakers that keep them from burning up in the event of a wiring issue. Most of them have a lifetime warranty so I would recommend getting a reputable show install them for you.

i bought actuators off of ebay for $3.99 a piece. the install turned out to be much more than i had in mind, but i can't complain about the end result....

 

we sell them at my shop for $20 each or $70 installed. they are made by harada and i have never had any problems with them.

 

You should be able to find them for about $20 at your local install shop. If you want them intalled it's about another $45.

 

use the DEI ones myself, haven't had a prob yet
