Door Lock Question!!!!!!!!!!!
Just recently my integra had trouble locking when i turned on my alarm. When I would arm my car, my passenger side door will lock but my driver side wont. You can see it about to turn but will only go half way and not lock. I can lock it manually and when i unarm my car, it will open. Why is it that i can unlock it with my alarm pad but cant lock it? It use to be fine until a couple of days ago. Is this an electrical problem or mechanical problem? Never had any of my friends experience this before. Thanks for the help people!
BTW: its a clifford bullet 4

is the door open when you do this or closed? if its open it probably won't lock. i don't have an integra, but on my civic you cant lock the driver with the door open (w/o pulling out the handle)
if it's closed, then...
did you install the alarm yourself? if not there should be a warranty on the alarm install.
I would take off the door panel and try it, and see what it's doing

Thanks Xsi, but just tried it and still no luck. Hate having to manuelly lock the door all the time when i have an alarm. Any other advice?

Aside from the alarm, does it lock without problems using the switch? Also, do you notice an extra chrip when you arm the system?
What alarm do you have and did you install it yourself?
My initial guesses are: bad driver's door pinswitch, defective lock output from alarm/relay.
There's an easy test to try if you did the install yourself. Hondas use a negative trigger for the powerlocks. While the alarm is in valet or with the brain unplugged, pulse the lock wire with a ground signal. You can do the test at the alarm harness or at the point where you tapped the lock wire. If it locks w/o any problems, you most likely have a problem with the alarm.

Car is a RS. Doesnt have automatic door lock switch. Doesnt make the extra chirp noise either like when your doors open and you try to arm your car. I got a clifford G4 (bullet) and was installed at good guys a couple of years back. Sounds pretty complicating about the test you just told me about. Im going to try and bring it to good guys and have them do it. Thanks tho!

Just bring it back to Good Guys since they installed everything. This way, it shouldn't cost anything. If you start messing around with stuff and accidently change something, you might void your warranty.
