Anyone else bottom-out to often with their lowerred 4g?
I have had Ground Control coilovers and Tokico Illuminas for a while now and my car is at a height that i think looks good and handles good, but I often bottom out. Just wonderring how common this is among 4th Gen preludes. I drive very cautiously lookin for dips in the road that'll make the sparks fly from the tiedown hooks scraping the pavement. Let me know if you guys also have this annoying problem because i've seen so many pictures of preludes lower than mine.
PS my Illuminas are at the stiffest setting and I have the stock 15s and camber kits all around. Check out this website i had to make for a class to see pics. http://www2.newpaltz.edu/~bohrer25/mycar.html

possible dont have the car soo low, when the car is slammed you have one like and inch or to of shock travel, unless you get a full coilover setup that is made for that, you'll either have to raise it up or deal with it. BTW im running h&r sports (w/ a coil cut off the front, just to make it sit even), and tokico 5-ways, i have never bottomed out

My car is at the Shop now, they installed some Coil overs and cambers and its bottoming out. Matter of Fact, I have no Travel space under my front Wheel Weld. NoNE. Theyre sayings its the shocks, thats bullshit. I dont know what it could be...!!
QuikLude, have ya checked my pictures, I'm wonderrin how the ride height compares to the H&Rs that you have. I seriously think it isn't so radically low that I should really have to worry about bottoming-out, sucks that i do. I think maybe the Ground Control Spring Rates are a little softer than what i would like. Just curious on how the fender gap compares to yours. thanks man
Drive slower and keep an eye on the road. I rarely, as in once or twice this year, bottom out. The PoDunk town that I live in doesn't exactly have the best roads either.
i agree i think your car may be to low or you need new one... i used to have tokicos but i wasn't really satisfied so i got new ones.. but good luck

i bottom out on the front mostly. It's because those front tow hooks stick down so low. I'm not too worried, those pieces are really strong because they're made to support the weight of the car and then some.

Yeah I'm not to worried about the hooks gettin damaged just seams as though it sends a solid jolt through my chasis. QuikLude I'm suprised you don't have problems with the body kit. I wanted one but with all the dips and potholes that show up unexpectedly around here, it would be messed up within two weeks where i drive
Yeah unfortunately i think I do want a new car, don't get me wrong I love my prelude but I'm growin out of it.
