How much is my car worth?????
Hi, guys, I'm considering to sell my 89 hatch, I have owned if for 4 years almost and I think it's time to move onto a new project. I have put in soo much money, but I really don't know how much it's worth. Give me some opions guys. Thanks!
specs: 89 Civic DX automatic, 140,000 miles, runs like new! Steering wheel don't even shake, idles perfect!
Timing belt and drive belts changed at 120K
NgK wires at 120K
Bosch+4's at 140K
Trans service+coolant at 130K +new OEM radiator cap
PCV valve at 140K
OIl changed almost every 1000 miles or less! With Honda filter and Mobil oil
New oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket+o rings+ grommets at 138K
exterior: Wings west Kit, aluminum wing on top of stock wing , 17 inch Tenzo shu's with Falken Ziex, new paint (not too great though), tinted windows, carbon fiber hood, projector headlights (gen 2), clear corners, clear bumpers, painted taillights
Interior: JDM Sir front seats, CRX dash conversion, various painted parts (very nice), carbon fiber dash kit, Si steering wheel, 99 Si rear view mirror (gives you more of an angle), 92 Si sun visors, CRX HF door panels (no pocket), EX dome light (like double the size of the original), Si gauge cluster, indiglo gauges, 95 civic armrest, aluminum, e-brake handle, RAzo shift ****, Type-R shift boot, Razo pedals, 95 EX floor mats.
performance: Tokico springs and tokico struts (less than 2000 miles!), Matrix rear lower tie bar, Tenzo front strut bar, Tenzo axle back exhaust, with custom piping from cat back, Matrix header, Tenzo Intake, 2 4 gauge ground wires. slotted rotors, Axxis pads, steel braided brake hoses.
new parts: Master cylinder (135K), rear shoes (135K),
This car has been very well taken care of since day one! I have only used premium gas since I owned this car! Alignment is almost perfect except for front camber, because it's lowered, otherwise this car is in great shape! All it really needs is a new paint job.
To see pictures go here: http://www.sickboy.highspeedzone.com it's about the same, except you don't see the CRX dash conversion and the aluminum wing.

Why don't you keep it and get a another car that you like and keep this as a hobby car? Looks like you still have a project car out of it since it still has the DX and auto tranny. Why don't you start building an engine for it and maybe turbo, you would probably not want to sell it then.
I was in the same situation as you and I wanted to start another project so I sold it, realize I should've kept it with all the work and money I put into it and should've turbo'ed it.
Now I have almost the same car (CRX to Civic) and have to start all over again because I missed the CRX, but needed more seats. I am now trying to get a Lexus SC300 and turbo that so I can have a nice ride and a fun ride to tinker with as well as a daily driver. Think about it.
By the way, nice ride, I think I would pay like 3000 for it, but I wouldn't go for it since it was an auto.

you should keep the car and do like the he said
make the car standard and drop a good motor. I am making my hatch standard, doing a turbo'd Si motor, and a ED type mugen kit, i am having a time doing all of this, but it is still fun and it keeps me busy. I would keep it, bc you already have a really nice car, just make it fast now
. Just my two cents. Peace.

I'd keep it, your car is very clean and you have a nice parts list, but without any major mods (read turbo or swap) I don't think it would go for much imo. I'm thinking 3000.

Hey guys, thanks for the input, anyways, I do have a D16y7 sitting at home, that I want to drop in, and I really don't want the hassle of converting it to stick, since it's probaly a pain in the butt. And I have a 93 Del Sol supercharged already, so that's why I rather keep it auto. I don't know I still want to do alot of stuff to it, but it just seems like that those things are so far out of reach. Like a new paint job, and GSR suspension, full new interior. Thanks for the compliments, I might just keep it then.

Just keep it!!!!!!! The amount of cash you put in it is no where near what your getting out of it. Engine swap and youll be set. I dont see why you will get rid of it
As you can see, our 2g cars aren't worth very much to a knowledgeable buyer...
Unfortunately, your car is an automatic with minor engine mods. But the exterior and ride is obviously WAY above average. So I agree with the post above (no offense of course), sell it to a riceboy and you'll get the most money...
$3,200-$4,200 should be a good deal to some random kid who likes da bling bling.

point being that, since it's an automatic, you're not going to sell it to an HT gearhead like us. find someone who wants to look sharp but can't handle a 5 speed and they'll pay whatever you want.
