.....that's my guess. You motor will be smoking before you have to worry about the valvetrain imho... rings will go first...

That's why I was wondering. I never hear of "regular" people replacing the valvetrain. Their motor usually goes by then. Just was curious that's all.
After 100k my motor will get a complete rebuild, including new valvetrain components. As good as the B18C5 engine is nothing lasts forever and I don't want to wait for it to break before I fix it.

are you going to upgrade at the same time? I would think it would probably make more financial sense (more power, possibly less money on parts) than just an OEM rebuild
